Situated in the western Himalayas surrounded
by majestic mountains and having its namely meaning as the ‘Land of Snows’,
Himachal Pradesh, which is the state of India, is best as a winter honeymoon
destination in India. The hill stations of Kullu, Manali, Shimla, Dalhousie,
Dharamshala and McLeodganj are perfect for adventure sports to take the
enjoyment of snowfall. Top places to visit in Himachal Pradesh in winter are as
follows:
Kullu – Valley of Gods
Located on the banks of the Beas
River and mostly heard along with the name Manali, Kullu, which was previously
called Kulanthpitha meaning ‘the end of the habitable world’, is one of the
most frequented tourist destinations in Himachal Pradesh. Also famous as the
‘Valley of Gods’, Kullu Valley is the magical land, which is home to some
leading spots such as Basheshwar Mahadev
Temple, Sultanpur Palace, Raison, Parvati Valley, Raghunathji Temple, Bijli
Mahadev Temple, Shoja, Jagatsukh Temple, Karrain and so on. Some of the
adventure sports available here Para Gliding, white water rafting, skiing,
angling, mountaineering, trekking, etc.
Manali – Gateway to Lahaul Valley
Also called the Switzerland of India, Manali offers
panoramic views of the snow-laden mountains. The famous tourist attractions of
Manali are Hadimba Devi Temple, Beas River, Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley, Jogini

Dalhousie – Scotland of India
Located in Chamba district and
spread across five hills, the hill station of Dalhousie named after Lord
Dalhousie, which is also called the ‘Scotland of India’, is popular among the
tourists for being home to the four churches of St. Patrick’s Church, St.
Andrew’s Church, St. John Church, St. Francis Church. Still holding a variety
of colonial architecture, it is another township, which was founded by the
British. This destination is also home to Laxmi Narayan Temple dedicated to
Lord Vishu. The major tourist attractions in Dalhousie are Ganji Pahari,
Panchpula, Sach Pass, Garam Sadak, Subhash Baoli, Bakrota Hills, Kalatop,
Dainkund Peak, etc.
